Alderaan

Congratulations to Alderaan’s new owner, Rebekah Wilcox of Gorham, Maine. We are very excited that she plans to keep Alderaan with us until he is started under saddle. Alderaan’s full sibling is due to arrive in May 2007, and will be available for sale at that time.

This colt, foaled in May 2006, just casually floats around, with a perfect tempo, and a style that is hard to describe. He is simply striking. He is built for collection, with a powerful hindquarter that he is able to sit back on quite easily. He is able to raise his withers with ease, and looks as if his front feet are barely touching the ground when he trots. He throws his front legs out in front of himself, and overflows with style.

Alderaan is RPSI (Rhineland Pfalz Saar International) registered. He can canter very slowly, and he carries himself with a natural arch to his neck. He has substance of bone, coupled with a beautiful dressage type build. His shoulder is angled so that his head and neck are naturally upright. This colt has the luxury of being able to do things with grace and ease.

His disposition is lovely and is a very kind soul. Although he has spurts of energy and play, he genuinely seems to take a loving interest in all that surrounds him.
